Wasim Asghar is a Licensed Professional Engineer in Texas (PE), Florida (PE) and Ontario (P. Eng) with consulting experience in design, commissioning and plant engineering for leading clients in Energy, Mining and Infrastructure. He holds Bachelors of Engineering – Electrical with distinction from McMaster University (2010) and Master of Engineering – Power Systems from University of Toronto (2013) which was completed with full-time work. In 2014, he undertook a two year international assignment for a major project in Florida and also decided to pursue PE Licensure in United States. The road to licensure was challenging primarily because of a lack of useful study material for FE and PE exams. Wasim passed both exams in first attempts (FE in October 2014 and PE in April 2015). The lessons learned during exam preparation process inspired him to write this book which is designed to help aspiring professional engineers better prepare for the latest CBT format of FE Electrical and Computer Engineering Exam.

After these years, It was a little bit hard to sit behind my desk and start to read university`s books and notes. So, I decided to warm up myself with buying the NCEES FE Electrical and Computer Practice Exam and solving the problems just by using the NCEES reference book. For sure, That is not enough because this book has only 100 questions and really easier than the real exam. After that, I found other AMAZING sources in amazon regarding to continue my study. "Wasim Aghar`s Pracitice exam books #1,#2,#3. I do not want to talk about some typos or some solutions that are different from what you have in your mind. I want to say, with these books, You will absolutely learn to use your only reference in exam day, "NCEES REFERENCE BOOK". Make story short, I just read Wasim Aghar`s practice exam book for three times. I was asking my questions via email and Wasim was answering me in less than 10 hours. I know he is really busy. Please note, those were my resources and my manner to pass the exam. You can also use other Wasim`s materials like online courses or guide books and so on. I am looking for Wasim`s PE guide for my PE study.Thank you Wasim for helping me to get this result.The actual FE exam is ridiculously hard and nothing like the problems seen in this book or the NCEES ... The problems in this book are WAY easier than the questions seen on the FE exam. I used this practice exam along with Wasim's review book and with the official NCEES practice exam and studied for three months and thought I was prepared enough to pass the FE exam. NOPE! The actual FE exam is ridiculously hard and nothing like the problems seen in this book or the NCEES practice exam. Made me look like a fool thinking I was fully prepared to take the FE exam. I walked out of the testing center feeling like I got hit by a freight train. Three months of reviewing three books down the drain. I felt like I didn't even study after getting beat up by the test. The test makers at NCEES are getting smart and reviewing all these books to make sure that they don't include anything similar to these third party study books so that they can make more money on us test takers and make us pay again to retake the test. For instance, for the psuedocode section, on the actual test they give you ridiculously long and difficult code to solve while on the practice exam, you get super simply code to solve. What a joke!Helpful and insightful This practice book was helpful and insightful. It's a good tool to help prepare for the exam. Also, the other thing about this book is that if you have a question, email the author and he'll get back to you with a full explanation within 24 hours. I took the exam on 12/12 (Monday) and found out that I passed on 12/21 (Wednesday). Let me just say that the actual exam is in between the Lindeburg and this practice exam. The test is no way as easy as this book but some concepts from this book are seen on the exam. It's also worth noting, that the NCEES practice exam is very similar to this practice exam but the actual exam is way more brutal. I recommend this book because I consider it a great resource to pass the exam. The book will be helpful but remember, this book should not be any ones only study material. I studied all three of Wasim's books, the Lindeburg review manual, the NCEES practice exam, and the some practice problems from the older version of the FE exam preparation book.
